Hi, I'm Dan Reinecke with Unknown Media. Now, a question I come across a lot is, "Can you use an SLR for blue screen photography?" Simply the answer is yes. A blue screen or even a green screen, they're, they're basically the same thing. You wouldn't use something like a red screen because people skin tones tend to have a lot of red in them. So, when you want to later remove the green screen, blue screen or in this case, if you were going to use a red screen, if you were to remove that, people's skin tones would actually start coming out as well and you'd have almost a translucent person which is not good. So, a blue screen and a green screen, you wan to use when you remove it but the person isn't actually wearing that selective color. Now, if you're using a blue screen, you're not going to want the person to be wearing say a blue tie 'cause when you pull the color out, the tie would also go as well. So, to simply the answer the question, "Can you use an SLR for blue screen photography?", the answer is yes. It's all about what you want to key out, not necessarily the camera itself. I'm Dan Reinecke and remember, take your best shot.
