Hi, I'm Dan Reinecke with Unknown Media. Today, I'd like to share with you a few lighting tricks that you can do with lamps around your house. Now lighting is again very key to photography and you don't need a bunch of money, all you have to do is be a little bit creative. Now, I have a lamp right here that this can be used for any type of photo shoot. You can have this and you can just set it off frame of your camera and you can get a nice closeup of somebody. This lamp actually gives a very nice soft light coming from it. Now most of your lamps that you'll have at home they all have lamp shades. Again, this is a very good thing because the lamp shades themself offer a bit of diffusion for the light coming out of it and you'll get a much softer light. Now the only down side to using lamps is you're kind of limited to basically about 100 watts which is about as high as the bulbs will go, but again all you have to do is just get a little creative and you can have a lot of fun with different lamps around your house. Another thing that you can do is set the lamp possibly way in the background of your shot just to liven up the background a bit with some different blur effects with the lights themselves because when you take a closeup of somebody and then the background, it will actually tend to be a bit blurred out and if you have some lamps placed back there, it will just give some nice blurred lights in the background that will liven up your photo a bit. So I hope these tips with using lamps in photography helped you out a bit. I'm Dan Reinecke, take your best shot.
