Hi, I'm Dan Reinecke with Unknown Media, and today I'm going to show you the difference between front lighting and back lighting. Now I could sit here and talk to you all day about it or I can just show you the difference. Now right now I am front lit. I have my light hitting me from the front and there's nothing hitting me from the back. Now I will show you the opposite of this with back lighting. We have our hard back light coming in and bring down the exposure of the front light. So you can see obviously the difference is the back lighting is actually the key light coming from the back rather than from the front. This just gives a completely different look and different feel. Now in choosing whether or not you want your photograph to be back lit or front lit, it's completely up to you. It's a completely artistic decision on what you choose to do but again, that's just to show you the difference and I'll show you one more time just so you can see if you like it or not. Again this is very back lit and that's front lit. So hopefully this demonstration helped you with determining whether or not you like your photos front or back lit. I'm Dan Reinecke, take your best shot.
