Hi, I'm Dan Reinecke with Unknown Media. Today, I'd like to give you a little insight on lighting for skin type. Now, the easiest answer that I can give you is the darker the skin tone is, the more lightly you're actually going to need to get that clean crisp exposure out of. Now, basically, the reasoning for this is because light is always reflected onto a surface and then back into the camera. Now, lighter skin tones are, it's going to be a lot easier for the light to bounced off and then send back to the camera. Now, darker skin tones, they're actually going to take, it's going to take more light for the same amount of light to get bounced back into the camera. Now, if you have somebody with dark skin tone and somebody with light skin tone in the same shot, now this is going to be a difficult balancing act and you may, it maybe all of positioning the talent in certain types of shadow and certain types of light. You may want to flag off some of your lights accordingly to get more light on the person with the darker skin tone so you can have a nice exposure for your image. That was how to light according to people's skin tone. I'm Dan Reinecke, take your best shot.
