Hi, I'm Patricia Samaniego, I'm a fashion designer. And you can find me at patriciasamaniego.com. In this video I'm going to show you how to decorate with buttons. Here I have an example of decorating with buttons that are a little more formal using just a basic sweatshirt. But today I'm going to show you how to decorate with a little more casual and fun buttons and colorful on a regular T-shirt. And this is an example. So what you're going to need for this project are a pair of scissors, embroidery floss of any color, buttons of any style depending on the finished product that you want, and a T-shirt. The first thing you want to do is try to plan out where your design is or where you want it. In this case I have designed the shoulder on this T-shirt, and I overlapped the buttons. So the first thing you want to do is take your thread with the embroidery floss, and then just start placing your buttons wherever you want. I'm going to do the other side. Start on the inside so that you don't see the stitches. You can do contrasting embroidery thread. In this case I'm just going to do white. White on white doesn't bleed. If I had another color the thread would bleed on to the fabric. And then as soon as you do that, you start with your next one. My name is Patricia Samaniego and that's how you decorate clothes with buttons.
