Hey guys, it's Chris here and today I'm going to show you how to draw feathers for Indian headdresses. I'm going to do a front view and I'm going to do a profile view. So the first one is the profile. I'm going to start here with the forehead, bring that down from the nose, lips, and along the front. There's our basic profile there and then what I'm going to do for the headdresses is just take my orange marker and bring that out and just kind of keep connecting all of them and they kind of flare out. Now you can make these any color you want, it's totally up to you. You can do your own thing. The edges are going to be a little bit, a little rough there. Maybe you want to bring some feathers or maybe there's a foxtail or something down on the side. You can bring it down like that or maybe that's another feather and fill out the feathers however you want. There we go. I'm just going to put some accent lines and when you're drawing feathers like this it's almost the same kind of idea as a leaf where you can kind of just do a couple lines going diagonally at each one, just kind of give it a little character. And just like that and that's one way of doing it. If you want to do it as a front view you can do that as well and the outline of a face here and there's where the eyes are and what I'm going to do is I'm just going to draw some feathers going like that and they kind of go down on the side here and there's going to be a lot of layers too so it almost kind of looks like hair but when you finish them out and flesh them out you're going to be able to see a lot more and draw the same kind of lines as you do here on this side and of course, most Indian headdresses like have another either a feather here or a foxtail or whatever kind of tail you want and just show that there's a little bit of hair like peeking through there. But there you go guys. You can make those any colors you want and do your own thing. So good luck and stay creative.
