Hi, my name is Cliff Wallach Greenberg, I'm a producer and music instructor here at Rok On Studios, today we're going to learn the best way to count tempo in music and what tempo is, tempo is the rate of the speed that you play music at or that you're listening to the music at and then we find the beat. So for example, if I wanted to count 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4. The best way to find tempo in music that you're listening to is to find the down beat and the down beat would be the first beat of every measure. For example, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1. As you can see we found the strongest beat or the first beat of every measure and that is one way to find tempo. Another way is to use a metronome and catch the beat of the music that you're playing. For example, as you can see I used the metronome and I found that my song is at 102 beats per minute, that is the tempo. My name is Cliff Wallach Greenberg and that's how you count tempo in music, thank you very much for watching.
