Hi. My name is Cliff Wallach Greenberg. I'm a music instructor at here at Rok On Studios. And today were going to learn how to count 18/16 in music. What 18/16 is, is a subdivision of beats within the measure. To make it a little simpler, we're going to call it 9/8. 9/8, 18/16 would be the 16th notes and we're going to count it in 8th notes, 9/8 and then double it to make the 18/16. 1.2,3,4,5,6,8,9. What we did there is we counted up to 9, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9. OK. Now, if we did that twice as fast, we'd get 18/16. So, our feeling of 9 gives us a triple meter. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9. This is Cliff Wallach Greenberg and you've just learned how to count 18/16 in music. Thanks for watching.
