Hi, my name's Cliff Wallach Greenberg, I'm a music producer here at Rok On Studio and today we're going to learn how to make music with a sampler. One of the most popular things that you can do with a sampler is drumbeats. So we're going to open up our software and I'll show you how to do it. Okay, so we are here in Reason which is our software that we're running and we're going to be working with our Dr. Rex loop player to make music with our sampler which is Reason. What we're going to do first is we're going to pick our beats so we're going to go into drum loops, we're going to go into abstract hip-hop and we'll pick raw funky. So now we're going to preview and listen to our sound, now one of the cool things about a sampler is that it is based in midi so what we can do is we can change the key or the sound of the tone of this drum by going down on our keyboard. We can make our drum sound like anything we want and really tailor the sound to the key of the song that we're playing in. We can also change the tempo of our beat down here on the bottom so you can see we changed our tempo down here on the bottom from 120 to 140, now we're making our beat faster and one of the beauties of using a sampler is that you can change anything that you want with the click of a button, very simple, very easy to use. This has been Cliff Wallach Greenberg and that's how you make music with a sampler, thanks for watching.
