Hi, my name is Jessica and I'm an artist, and today we're going to draw a violet with a stem. So our violet has this sort of nice big round top leaf like so and then another one kind of comes out on the side does the same kind of thing and finally a third comes around the bottom and connects and then in the middle it has this lovely shading that makes kind of almost like a sunburst if you will, kind of a look and then there's a lighter one in between the edge and then finally the edge. The edge is quite violet, it's quite purple so you can color that in purple if you like and then the second layer is kind of a white color where the violet starts to fade and blend into the white part and then finally the additional middle is even a purpler purple, kind of a pinkish purple that comes in, the sunburst area just comes in and sort of forms this rounded shape and it has a piece that sticks out in the middle like that and then the stem just comes straight down just like that and it's got these very nice large leaves that come up on either side like that. And really that's the whole story. You can do a couple of them, you know, you want to draw one beside this one you can, one over here maybe, do a little baby one nearby, there's that leaf and that leaf and then the middle part and the thing coming out. You know, it's really all up to you, it's your flower but after you're done with your one you can draw, you can go back in, you can color in the leaves green. You can do a little bit of grass around it, build up the ground maybe put a little dirt underneath, color in the other leaf, don't forget to put the line down the middle of the leaf, something that most leaves have and you can really just take a lot of creative liberty with the colors of purple that you choose, maybe a nice dark purple for the top and a pinkish purple in the middle and remember it blends into this white part at the bottom of the leaf. And that is how you draw a violet with a stem.
