Hi, my name is Jessica and I'm an artist and we're going to draw a small window with curtains. So when you're drawing your small window with curtains, you really don't have to draw much of the window at all because it's almost totally covered in curtains. So just draw your rectangle about the size of your window. Now we're going to put a line in the middle and that's where the bottom half of the curtain is going to go and the top half is going to go up here. So we're going to put a little ruffle around the top half of the window and we're going to bring this side down. It doesn't have to be too straight because the curtains have a little movement to them. Then we're going to bring the sides up like this at an angle then we're going to connect it to the top just like that. That's going to be the ruffle of the curtain and it's going to go all the way around so you can illustrate that ruffle by just putting it in really anywhere you like just like that and of course if you like you can also have a little bit of movement in the curtain or you can make a pattern on it if you want, little spots or shapes or what have you or you can color them in. So that's the top half of our curtain. Next we're going to move on to the bottom half, there's this ruffle that goes along the bottom half of the curtain and then it comes down just like that, show a little movement in these curtains with that kind of wobbly line and it comes down just a little bit farther than the actual window goes, but we are drawing with a pencil so you can erase any mistakes that you have made. There you go, just like that, bring it down and you know, maybe we can add a little ruffle at the bottom as well or we can have some, you know, ribbons on the sides, that's kind of nice and then to show the actual window part, you just draw the lines down and a line across. So we know there's a window back there right? We can see the lines there but we're mostly just focusing on the curtains right now. If you want to tie the curtains to the side, you can do that as well. You just make it so you bunch them in like that, actually I guess kind of like that and you can tie it there maybe like that. So there's, this part up here I think it's called a valance or a valance, I don't, you know, how to pronounce it. It's a special kind of curtain, but yeah, pretty easy. That's how you draw a small window with curtains.
