Hi, I'm Rosalie, and I'm an artist. And, I'm going to show you how to draw boning in fashion. So, boning in fashion refers to a - it's like these flexible but rigid, like, sticks that go into a woman's foundation garment usually, or, like a corset. I'm drawing a corset now, so. And, they help the corset hold its shape. And, it's called boning because it used to be made out of whalebone. So, this is the back. This is somebody's back. And, this is - they're wearing a corset, and this is the center, which is open, because it laces up. So, there would be a bone - there would be boning in these panels, and I'm just going to draw some eyelets for the laces, and the same amount on the other side. And, this part would be rigid. And then, there's like a little, usually like a little, like, sort of hem binding on the edge. And then, this would also be boning, and the bone is encased in, like, a fabric channel in the corset. So, that's where the bone would be. And, there would be, like, they'd go all the way around. And then, this thing laces. And, I'm just drawing in the laces. And, that's how I draw boning in fashion.
