Hi, my name's Erik, I'm an artist and I'm going to show you how to draw realistic dresses. Okay, let's start out at the top of the dress. And it's never completely straight lines so let's draw some curvature there. I'm going to draw it off of a person right now, okay. And then let's draw one strap and another one there. Add some dimension to that. Those are the shoulders. Okay now let's have this flow down. I'm going to draw a division segment there. And bring this up, and let's draw some little bunch of lines there and here. Okay, now to draw this coming down and draw it curving around here. And this line coming down. And we can add some little lines going up from where you can tell it's going. Then bring this down. Again, right here. Right down like that. And then we can add some of the dimension from back behind it. Draw that. And it's going to bunch up top. And actually let's have a matching stripe line down at the bottom here. And the back, and a line following this here. And it kind of bunches like that there. Now let's see, this isn't just hanging from anything so we can put a clothes hanger here. There we go, put on that. And, what else, oh yeah, I just want to keep adding some little fold lines here. You can even add some pattern to it, just as long as it follows the flow and fold lines. So it's rare that you're going to see like a complete dot of a polka dot unless you're in one of the open areas. Alright. And that is how you draw a realistic dress.
