Hi, my name is Erik. I'm an artist and I'm going to show you how to draw a shaded dragon. Okay let's just start out with a head up here. It's just going to be a basic circle and then let's come down and add the body and let's fill in the body kind of like a snake, bring it around. Now let's add a little bit, make it a little thicker in the middle. Let's give it a snout, bring in its mouth here, add some teeth and let's give it nostrils around the snout. Now let's get rid of these guidelines here because they're a little bit distracting and get rid of this guideline here. Okay, and let's add wings. I'm going to add them up here like this, one, two, three, one and let's bring this in like a bat's wings, there you go and let's do the same on this side, one, two, three, the bat's wings and there we go and let's just add eyes, horns and that side thing there and there. Now let's add some shading to this. This guy here doesn't have arms but let's do some shading. Now I want the light to be coming from this direction here so it's going to have a shadowed belly and the shadow in the shading is going to be on the opposite side of where the light is coming from or the light source. So let's fill out this here, come down and around, a little triangle here you can add there. Okay and there's also going to be some shading underneath the jaw and the top and add, just follow the contour there and down on the bottom here and over on this side there are going to be portions you can't see. Okay let's give this some horns here and here and some shading to this side and this side and up in here. Alright, bring this around to the contour of that. Now let's also add some shading on the wing here, bring it up here and also some shading in here. Now let's give this thing just some little arms and legs like this, a claw, a claw and there and there, and that is how you draw a dragon with shading.
