Hi, I'm Al Krakosky and I'm an artist. Today, I'm going to show you how to draw a Pharaoh's coffin or a sarcophagus. You're going to start off with the face so we're going to draw an oval, half oval, curving down coming to a point for the chin and then on top we're going to start the headdress. You're going to draw a diagonal line coming to a point on top, a diagonal line coming down. Then we're going to go down on both sides here, curve around towards the chin, then down again, then curve and straight line up connecting to the chin. So there's the face and the headdress outlined. We'll go and add detail later. From there, we're going to come down to where the elbow would be and stop on both sides, go in a little bit and then curve down for the rest of the coffin, sarcophagus and then curve outward and then back in to close it off. Now where the elbow is we're going to draw the arm coming up, same thing over here, it's going to go underneath that arm, draw the rest of the arm, close that one off and erase a little bit because there's going to be a hand there, there's going to be a hand coming out over on this side too. You're going to draw the hand closed because each hand is going to have an item in it like that, arms folded over his chest. We'll draw a curved line down here and a vertical rectangle going straight up and on here, would be hieroglyphics. I'm just going to shade this in blue. I'm just going to shade in the bottom. Then we'll go up top to the face, add some more detail up here. First we'll do an eye, the other eye, then the eyebrows on top. We'll add a nose, then the lips and on top here on the headdress, there's going to be a cobra sticking out. And there will be blue lines, going across the headdress, horizontal lines for the two side pieces and then on the top lines following the curve and the shape of the headdress just like that. Now for the rest of the sarcophagus there are colored stripes and zigzags going across. The zigzags are on the bottom, different colors, blues and reds. I'm just going to draw some blue zigzags in here. When you're drawing something with this much detail it's very necessary to look at a reference picture to make sure you get everything right. So for the rest of these, I'm just going to draw some lines going across just like that. We can't forget on the chin there's a rectangle piece that comes out connecting at the chin and going down. And that's it. From here just look at your reference picture and add more detail and color. Thank you for watching and keep on drawing.
