I'm Marcus Gerakos and I'm a Guitarist based here in the L.A. area. I do a lot of work on film and, and television projects. Today, I'm going to talk about what strings make a lower pitch or lower sound. Now, typically, this is, this is actually true for nylon string guitars as this is; this is a Flamenco guitar, strung with nylon string. You can hear that the wound strings 6, 8, 5 and D4 have a more resonant quality, a deeper resonance quality. Now, they wouldn't have if they weren't wound. The top three strings are supposed to have more of this sort of quality, a brilliant quality especially in the upper register. If I were to play this again, working my way towards the lower register; alright; the wound strings are of different character than this do. So, as I move from up, upper register to lower register, you can hear the difference in tonality, difference in tempo. I'm Marcus Gerakos and this has been what kind of guitar strings make a low pitch.
