Hi, my name is Jessica and I'm an artist, and today we're going to draw a kangaroo rat. So the kangaroo rat is this cute little thing, well I think they're kind of cute. They have this round head and they've got these little ears. Basically you want to just draw one in the front, just draw a little line like that for the ear in the back and then the head is going to come around the top and that's like half of their body. The rest is this sort of round piece here, maybe make it just a little bit bigger, round piece there that comes around and then they have these little tiny hands that put nuts up to their mouth or what have you and they've got these big eyes. It's like they have just giant eyes, one on each side of their head. You can't see the other one and then they have these little noses and little mouths. And then they almost kind of look like kangaroos. They have these big feet, big kangaroo feet that basically come down like that just like a kangaroo foot would and then they have a long tail, a long slender tail and so you can go back in and you can color the eye in, make a little bit of a line around here. Give him a little couple dots there for their little whiskers and the coloring is kind of black and gray and tan so you can color the back, put some gray markings maybe the head with some tan markings, a little bit of tan around their eyes and their ears are kind of pink. So you want to just go in and give them a little bit of pink there, some white on their legs just like that and then their tails are very pink. You can just color the tails in pink. And that is how you draw a kangaroo rat.
