Hi, I'm Al Krakosky, and I'm an artist. Today, I'm going to show you how to draw rain with a pencil. So, to start off, we're going to take our pencil, and do quick, diagonal lines streaking across the paper. You can do long lines and short lines. Make them very random, and spaced apart randomly. You don't want them all the same length. Some short, some long. Make some darker, and some lighter - it helps to show the distance in between all of the rain. Some more in the foreground, some more in the background. And, the longer the lines are, the faster it looks like it's going to be raining. If you do short, small lines, it looks like it's more of a drizzle than a fast rain. What we're drawing here is more of a fast downpour almost. If we want to see what it looks like when the rain hits a wall or the floor, we'll draw a wall here. And, once it hits the wall, quick, diagonal lines bouncing off the wall. Just short, diagonal lines in each direction. Couple more here. Then, we'll go back in and add some thickness to some of the rain. Then, for the end, we're going to go back in and add some darker lines on top. These look like they're more in the foreground. The lighter lines look like they're more of the background. And, that's it. That is how you draw rain with a pencil. Thank you for watching, and keep on drawing.
