Hi, my name is Daisy. I'm an artist and I'm going to show you how to draw curves in wood. So I'm just going to draw a basic rectangle which will be like the plank of wood. Let's make it a little bit 3D, so another line coming down and connecting at the ends at angles. There's our basic plank of wood. Now wood always has wood grain and curves. So we're just going to draw lots of lines coming down the length way and it can be all different shapes and then in these really curvy bits let's put some circles that can be like wood knots and then more curves that come around it. You just want to draw a lot of these lines. Let's draw another knot down here and I'm going to put one in here. Let's draw the knot first, we can draw around it. You can get really creative and just go to town with where all the grains and the knots go. And they can hit the edge as well. You don't need to make them all completely contained. This piece is being cut off so usually there would be more on each side. So to make it as realistic as possible, these lines can go all the way to the edge and down this side we're going to do some little ones. You wouldn't usually have knots in the side so let's just draw some little lines that go up and down. And there we go. My name is Daisy and that's how you draw curves in wood.
