Hi, my name is Daisy. I'm an artist and I'm going to show you how to draw an Egyptian Mau which is actually a type of cat. So we're going to draw this cat sitting and looking back at us so a big oval for the body, a circle for the head, really simple shapes to begin with and then we'll fill in the detail. So her leg is going to come out and a long oval coming out from the body this way and this line is going to connect through the neck down through this oval. Since you have the basic shapes down we can start erasing these working lines. We can connect this in because we kind of see this other knee over here but not too much and then we're going to fill in her tail which is just some curvy lines that come round to the base. So that's our basic shape. We're going to put in a little bit more detail which requires some shading, giving her a muscular shape. Now let's put in her face, a couple rounded oval eyes, some circles for pupils, a little triangular nose and a little t for the mouth. Let's do some semicircles and then we'll do some triangles for the ears and fill it around. Now they have a very distinct patent to their body which is like a leopards so we're going to put some leopard print which is basically filled in Vs which is nice and simple. You can do circles but i find this is more realistic. We're just going to do a lot down the back of her body all over her leg, shade in the bottom of her foot and they can be as big or as small as you want. They'll get smaller as we get round to the front of her body and all down the tail we can get smaller. The tip of the tail is colored in and by this point we can do little dots because we don't want to make it too busy. We'll do some little small ones to give a nice amount of texture. And there we go. My name is Daisy and that's how you draw an Egyptian Mau.
