Hi my name is Daisy. I'm an artist and I'm going to show you how to draw realistic facial expressions. So we're going to show four and just to be really simple I'll start with the four outlines of the faces. I'm drawing the same four so it's easier to see the difference in their expression. So this one is going to be a smiley face. It's going to be a little bit squinty so let's draw the nose in, just a little triangular sort of shape, a little half circle for the nostril. The mouth is like a slightly curved line on top and it's going to come down like a crescent shape underneath, a little curved line for the chin and then these two lines will create the wrinkle that you'll see right from the nose and let's draw the teeth in so one line. Let's just draw them nice and simple lines going down. With the eyes, smiley faces, if it's a true smile is usually pretty squinty, so let's draw curved lines up and little crescent shapes, the eyebrows, you can do however you want. They can be smiling like this. It's always good to look at yourself in the mirror when you're doing expressions so I'm going to draw mine up like that and a couple lines following for the eyelids. You can draw lines underneath to show extra squint. For this one over here we're going to do sad. I'm just going to draw a curved mouth going down, same nose. His eyes aren't going to be squinty. So we'll draw two lines and a straight line underneath. The eyebrows are down. You don't really need the eyelids in this one but we'll do the same chin. So that's sad. I'm going to do a little bit of an angry face on this one, a little bit of a curly mouth, same nose, and squinty eyes but not happy squinty eyes. So I'm just going to draw two lines, really close together with the pupils in them and then the eyebrows going down. So he's kind of angry. You can exaggerate them a little bit if you like and this helps with the squint underneath and the the last one let's do surprised. So start with the nose, do an open mouth like a surprise then big open eyes, so that's really big almond shapes, make a little pupil on the inside and the eyebrows all the way up, same with the eyelids underneath and we can put his tongue in there and then fill in his mouth. And there we go. My name is Daisy and that's how you draw realistic facial expressions.
