Hi, I'm Jessica, and I'm an artist. And today, we're going to draw the Amazon rainforest. So, the first thing we're going to do is kind of just take a look at a little map here. Okay, so, this is Chile - or, I'm sorry, this is South America. And, our rainforest, basically, is a very big chunk of this top area here, and here, and some here. So, it would be pretty impossible for us to draw the whole rainforest, but today we're just going to focus on a couple very specific parts. Okay, so, for example, we've got a lovely little scene here, just a little snippet of the rainforest. And, in our rainforest, there is just so much green. So, you can take your green marker, and you can just go crazy, and you can just draw green basically everywhere. Green, green, green, right? Now, in your green, when you're drawing your green, you can just really draw a lot of green shapes and colors. Then, you take a little bit of brown, and you can go in and do things like draw vines, or you can draw trunks that are tree pieces, and branches, and things, to break up the green and show that there's actually other stuff going on here. Here is a rock. Here's some rock formations that come out. And, on this branch right here, there is this really beautiful bird that has these long gorgeous feathers, and he's just going to be hanging out on this limb, watching over the rainforest. In the background, we left this middle piece open for a reason. We're going to have this gorgeous waterfall that's going to come down. And, the waterfall is never even. As you can see, the top, it's all kind of bumpy, and the water just ripples down through the middle. And, when it gets to the bottom, it kind of explodes. It hits more water, and it makes this big, sort of very misty burst at the bottom. And, so, you can put some white. You can go in with your white marker, and you can draw that mist here, put some white coming down to show the air that's mixed in with the water. And then, at the top, the trees continue in the background. Just tons and tons of green everywhere. Now, of course, this is a very rough and quick drawing of the Amazon forest. You can get into as much detail as you want here. But, one thing to remember is there's lots of green everywhere, and maybe a couple tropical birds thrown in. And, that's how you draw a rainforest.
