Hi, my name is Daisy, I'm an artist and I'm going to show you how to draw 3D snakes. So we're going to start with one single line that goes around for the actual body. Now, this is really simple cause all we then have to do is follow this line all over again and then we make the head. Now, I'm kind of looking a little bit down on this one so we get to see the whole snake in perspective. So you'll see we've got a couple of lines crossed over so you can figure out which one's going to be on the top and we just erase the lines from underneath but I always find it's best to draw straight through and then take it away cause then the lines look better on each side. So that's a very basic shape of the snake and what I want to do is give it a little bit of detail so we can make it more 3D and figure out what side of the body that we're going to be seeing. So I'm going to give this snake a couple lines and kind of make it like a tiger snake so it's very stripey and that makes it nice and easy to see the difference. Now to give it that 3D look I'm going to shade underneath the snake so it looks like it's sitting on the ground and then casting a little bit of a shadow. The same on this side, since this bit is above the tail it's going to cast a little bit more of a shadow so get right in there and the same on this side. So do the shadow on the same side as each part of the snake so all the shadows are coming down this way we don't want to draw any shadows above the snake. I'm going to give the snake a couple eyes, these little almond eyes and then a forked tongue, just a bit more shadow from the face and then we can do the same on the actual body but I'm going to make it a bit easier to see so we're just going to do some little really simple shading on the body itself and you can do crosshatch or any type and there we go, my name is Daisy and that's how you draw 3D snakes.
