Hi, my name is Patricia, I'm an artist, and I'm going to show you how to draw Islamic art. Now there's a lot of Islamic art out there, but what I'm going to do today is do some geometric floral prints. You'll see a lot of geometrical florals in Islamic art. So this is fairly easy to draw. Let's start with a circle, and then around the circle we're going to do our geometric floral. Again, like I said, there are so many different types of subjects in Islamic art, but this is one of the more popular, so I think that it's a good springboard. Again, you'll see that I'm just doing a repeat of rectangles around the circle, and this is going to go all the way around in order to make a flower out of rectangles and a circle, and you just go all the way around. Ideally the rectangles are as identical as possible, when you're talking and drawing it's not as easy to make them totally identical, but imagine that they are, there we go. So there is your first geometrical floral, geometric floral. And second we're going to do triangles. So again, it's going to be around a circle, so we'll draw the circle first, and it's a repeat of triangles. And you know what, you can even just draw, see how I have one big triangle around it? And again, another big triangle. So it's really not that tough to do, you just have to concentrate, let's see here, I want it more like this, well you see what I'm getting for. I'm going to add one more triangle in here, and then just add some extras, and you have a more triangular floral. So there you go, there's your Islamic art. Enjoy.
