Hi, my name is Daisy. I'm an artist and I'm going to show you how to use a grid to draw a self portrait. So we're going to draw the grid first, just use a bit of a rectangle and it's always easy if you take a photo of your face, print it out and draw the grid on top of it. It's the only way you're going to be able to do this properly. I'm going to divide the grid with three lines this way and about four lines this way. So the grid is going to help you figure out where to put all your bits and pieces on your face. I'm going to use this much of the grid for the main circle and come down to a point. Now this will depend on your own face. My face is a little bit more pointy and then use this line as the eye line, this line as the nose line and figure out where against these lines so if my eyes would fit like so and draw my nose. It goes down to this line down here. Use this line for the bit between my lips. My lips go to about there, same with my eyebrows. I always use the nose line and the top of the nose to help with that, the ears and the hair. And then the neck I'm going to just extend outside of the grid and a couple dots for the eyes. And there you go. My name is Daisy and that's how you use a grid to draw a self portrait.
