Hi, my name is Daisy, I'm an artist, and I'm going to show you how to draw a cartoon rugby player. So, we're going to start with the basic shapes. This is a round circle for the head, couple lines coming out, because they've got really thick necks. Another circle for the top of the body. Can make another small one that overlaps for the bottom. Let's put out a couple short legs, because that's the fun bit about cartoons - you can make the shapes whatever size you want. Couple lines for the arms. So, this is him running in a tackling position. Now, this is our basic shape, so let's fill it in to make it look like an actual rugby player. So, we're going to come in down here with the neckline. Just follow these two lines, and that can be the collar. Couple triangles to finish that off. Line down here for shirt detail. Then, follow all of your other lines that you've already created. So, that makes it easier. A little circle for the hand, and then ovals for the fingers. Cartoon characters generally have four fingers instead of five. Couple lines right here for the t-shirt. The same with the back. Circle of the hand. We're going to make this one hold the football. So, draw a football shape. Then, the hand will go over the top. Take out any lines that should be underneath the hand. Another line here to connect the arm to the body. Same on this side as the t-shirt. Fill in the legs. I'm going to give him some really skinny legs, with some big calf muscles. So, that's just a big round bulging muscle on both legs. Couple triangles for shoes. Socks can be just a line that comes up. And then, of course you need some shorts. They're just rectangles at the top of his legs. Let's quickly give him a face with a couple circles for eyes, C for a nose. And then, I do a triangle for the mouth, as he's charging at someone. Spiky hair. And, there we go. My name is Daisy, and that's how you draw a cartoon rugby player.
