Hi, my name is Patricia. I'm an artist and I'm going to show you how to do ruffles on shirts. Alright so let's put our models up. Basically we've got the neck and the shoulders. We're going to do three shirts so we're going to have three models. I'm just doing really quick neck and shoulders. They're really not even that feminine but we will fix that. Alright so the first one is going to be a cute little ruffle all over number. There's some sleeves on the shirt and then you know when you're drawing a girl's shirt it goes in a little bit. Alright and then here again the sleeve and when you're doing the ruffles you know these shirts are very popular nowadays. You'll see the ruffles all across just a line of ruffles and in order to do this just put, you know you want the curvy line and then if you're using a pencil you're going to do a lot more shading than I'm doing here but you can draw lines down and then again you've got more ruffles and then more lines. Let's see if we can get this more exact and obviously you know shade it in a little bit in certain places but here we're just going to get the feel of ruffles. So notice how my curved lines and the way that I'm drawing this gives us a feel of the ruffles all the way down the front of the shirt. And don't, you know, feel free to add shading and what have you. I'm just doing a quick sketch. Alright so here's one shirt with ruffles, that's ruffles all over if you will and our next is going to be a cute, let's do, hmm, we're going to do a green V neck. Okay this is going to be a little different in the fact that imagine it's a knit shirt and the ruffles are just here, kind of like you know ruffled detailing in the front and again notice how I have the curved lines and the pieces flow over one another so that's another way to do ruffles on a shirt and then let's do one more. We're going to make this one blue and this is going to be a nice big scoop neck. This is a fancy shirt that somebody is going to be wearing out for a hot night out on the town. And notice how it's a very wide you know, a very scoop neck hanging low on the shoulders. You know what let's get a smaller pen for more detailing again. We've got the curves, the tight shirt and there you go, don't be afraid to shade in and there is your third shirt with ruffles. There you go. Enjoy.
