Hey guys! This is Chris here, and today I'm going to show you how to draw convincing hair. I think I'm going to do it in a profile view. So, when you start do profile, you're going to start from the from the forehead down, a little in for the eye, lips, and the chin. And then, we got the ear here, which usually goes a little bit - it's about level with the eye, so you're going to draw that right about here. And, that's going to be important when you're drawing hair, because a lot of times your hair goes behind your ear, and you also got to get the sideburns in there if you're drawing a man. I'm actually going to be drawing somebody with a little bit more of a flowing hairstyle. So, what you're going to do is, you're going to start from the top of the forehead, and you're going to follow the back, just kind of do, like, small lines like that. Follow along the skull and the back. And then, as soon as you get to the back, like that, you're going to start making waves. And, you can do it however you want. If you want to make it short hair, you can also make it short hair. Long hair, you can do long hair. But, just make it really flowy. And then, you're also, if you're doing it from the profile, it's important to know that you got the hair that's going behind the ear. So, you kind of want to make some arks back behind - make it look like it's going behind the ear from the bottom. And then, just continue doing that. You want to do a lot of lines, a lot of lines on the side. And then, if you want, you can really do this in any color you want. If you guys have purple, if you have green. I mean, it depends on how crazy you want to get your person's hair. But, really kind of try to fill it out, because if you don't fill that out enough, there's going to be a lot of random lines that are in there, and it's not going to look too convincing as hair. You also kind of want to put some highlights in there, because in everybody's natural hair has some kind of highlights. So, when the sun's hitting it, there's going to be shadows, and there's going to be different areas that are highlighted. So, depending on the light that you're drawing your character in, those are the things that are going to be important. But, also if you want, instead of doing the hair laying like that, you can also have some hair kind of draping down the side, and just going behind the ear. And, that also looks pretty good, too. But, I'd say if you guys are doing hair, use a couple different colors, and try to make sure that you're keeping it as in depth as possible in terms of lights and darks. But, that's how to draw convincing hair. So, good luck, and stay creative.
