Hi, my name is Erik. I'm an artist and I'm going to show you how to draw a Japanese background. Okay, let's just start with a rectangular frame here so we know so we have a defined shape there. Okay and let's bring in, in Japanese backgrounds there tend to be a lot of branches and cherry blossom trees coming in to the framework, bring in another one on this side. Now let's bring one down from up here. Okay and then there's like, in Japan, it being an island they feature a lot of ocean waves and mountains in the background so let's actually put a plane right here with the mountain up here and some snow caps to the mountain, bring it down, bring it down. Add some ocean waves down here and there tends to be a lot of texture to the waves and then pretty frequently what they like to do is add there's the sun is featured on their flag and they tend to add that to a lot of their backgrounds. So to show it and its rays in the background and then let's add just one more tree branch here from the cherry blossoms. And even a temple down here. And that is how you draw a Japanese background.
