Hi, my name's Jessica and I'm an artist and today we're going to draw and shade fruit. So let's start with a banana. First of all, we start with a little tip that is sort of the stem of the banana and then we come, it wraps down and around like so and it comes to a point so there's your banana and then generally it'll have these kind of lines that come down and we're going to put some shading, basically again wherever the sun is coming from is where the shade is going to be provided so if the sun's coming from over here then there's going to be a shadow on the opposite side so basically I'm just going to and we can bring it around to the bottom too, just bring that shadow all the way up the side just like that and you can add a few lines if you want to. Now, say we're going to draw an apple, we're going to keep the sun where it is, we've got our apple and we've got a little stem on our apple and a leaf. Now, the sun is shining from this side so again the shading is going to be on the opposite side, just take your marker or your pen and make these little lines that basically come out from the side and just blend them together, it's kind of mix them if you will until they create this what is obviously a shade shadow area on the other side of the fruit and if you want you can add a few little lines here and there just to show and that is how you draw shadows on fruit.
