Hi, my name is Jessica and I'm an artist and today we're going to draw a curved pattern. So we're going to do a pattern on a ball so we can really see the curve of the pattern. So here's our ball and we're going to have, our ball is a 3D ball, it's not a 2D ball and the way that we're going to show it's 3D is we're going to show a pattern that is curved on it so let's do just a simple checkerboard so we're going to do these lines down the ball. As you can see I did kind of an arced shape that mirrors the outside lines and that's how you can show a little bit of depth on the ball and then you want to do the same thing with the horizontal lines. So as these do the vertical lines have these kind of diagonal to them that mimics the outside. Now we're going to do the same thing on this side. We're going to start, bring it down so that it mimics on each side right, now maybe one in the middle. And then when we start to color in the shapes, we can see that it has a circular shape to it. So if you want something even more detailed, you can just add another line. I'm going to just color it in. And as you can see the shape is getting this curve to it as it goes into the distance and it has a roundness to the pattern which is what we wanted. So just look for every other square and color it in and when you're done, you will see, that your pattern is curved. That's how you draw a curved pattern.
