Hi, I'm Rosalie and I'm an artist and I'm going to show you how to draw a symmetrical plant. So this plant is going to be a potted plant and that is a plant that is in a pot and the pot is symmetrical. I'm drawing the top of it. It's just a rectangle for the top edge and then I draw the side tapering down and then if it has to be symmetrical pay attention to try to get it to be about the same on the other side, getting close and there's the dish to collect the water which is also symmetrical and I'm putting that down there. So I did my best to make that part symmetrical and then to make the plant I'm going to put it right in the middle, the stalk and I'm going to have it go, one go straight up and then it's going to have a leaf that goes like that curling out and it's going to have another one on the other side in keeping with the symmetry theme. It's hard to get it perfect but close enough and the center of the flower is a circle which is always symmetrical and then the petals I'm just going to put one on each side until I get to the top one which is in the center and that is a symmetrical plant because you can tell if you were to fold it down this center line or axis, it would cover itself. So that's symmetry and that's how I draw a symmetrical plant.
