Hi, I'm Rosalie and I'm an artist and I'm going to show you how to draw a shaded cone. So I'm going to draw the cone shape first and then shade it in, a cone is a triangle on top, it can be any angle but this one is going to be like this sort of like a letter a and then it could be straight across on the bottom if you are looking straight at it but a cone is round on the bottom so I'm doing a rounded line you're sort of viewing it from slightly above I guess would be this view so that's the shape of the cone and to shade it you would shade it all in the direction coming straight down from the point. I'm drawing in the dark side of the cone and I'm just coloring it in and that's shading in, that in and it would have a highlight which I would draw like that and I would shade this side in too and then I would sort of blend it into the highlight here so as you can see it's, the pen's a little dry, I'm going to continue with this color. As you can see the side's a little darker and then it gets lighter in the middle where the lights hitting it and it's all in a linear way. So and you could put a shadow if you wanted which would look like that and I'm going to fill that in with another color. There's the shadow just to show that it's 3D in space and that's how I draw and shade a cone.
