Hi, I'm Rosalie and I'm an artist, and I'm going to show you how to draw an outline. An outline is just that. It's the outer line that surrounds the shape of something and it doesn't have anything colored in inside. So one way you can do it, is to use tracing paper over something and just trace the outline, or you can just imagine the thing you're doing and just draw the outer perimeter of it. Like I'm drawing, I'm going to draw some weapons. And I'm drawing a hatchet, and I'm just drawing it like this, and there's the handle. I guess the hatchet is more like a tool than a weapon, but that's the basic shape, and then I'm just doing the outline. And here's the knife, I'm doing the handle, and then the blade, so you could see that's a knife, even though it doesn't have any detail inside. And do a gun, it's a very simple and recognizable shape, and I'm just doing the outline, there's the trigger guard, and the handle, and the back of it. Even though this is an outline, I'm going to outline the trigger part, because that is technically an outer line, cause it's where the shape meets the negative space. And that's how I draw an outline.
