Hi, my name is Jessica and I'm an artist. And today, we are going to draw a flat roof. So the first thing we are going to do is we are going to draw a building or a house so that we can then draw a roof on top of that building. So we are just going to start with a building that's coming towards us. It's angled so that it's coming towards us so that we will be able to see the top of the roof. So here is our building. We've got a door on our building. We even got a couple of windows. When you draw your windows make sure that the lines go in the same direction as the building so that it shows the right perspective. And then for the top of the roof, first we are going to start in the back. We are going to bring the line across to show that same perspective. And then we are going to bring it so it connects in the front. And actually it should be a little bit more of a angle there as you can see. There we go. And then we are going to do the roof. So put a little bit of a thickness to the roof like a line along the side and bottom part of the roof so that it shows a little bit of thickness there. And then go back and maybe we can draw some diagonal lines across the top so that we can see that this is actually a roof that we are drawing on top of this building. And maybe some cross beams. And voila, that is how you draw a flat roof.
