Hi, my name is Patricia, I'm and artist, and I'm going to show you how to draw a palapa. Now you might wonder, what is a palapa? Well, it's something I wish I were sitting under right now, I tell you that much. It is one of those grass ceilings or roofs that are usually over, that are usually in the beaches or on Kiosks, in Mexico in the islands, in warmer places. Notice how I did a partial triangle and then I did little lines at the bottom and now I'm doing the grass, this is the grass roof. Now it could be very complex, you might have four long bars, and then, or four long poles holding it up, or you could have just one pole holding it up. There might be a piece of cement that it's caught into, and then usually it's usually the beach around you, there's somebody laying under it on a chair or something else. And then in the distance you see the beautiful ocean. And this is a palapa. Enjoy.
