Hey, what's up? Chris here, and today we're going to be learning how to draw Monstera leaves which are basically big giant leaves, monstrously big but not scary. Let's begin. The first thing we're going to do is we're going to start with the stem. So, we're going to draw a line coming down then we're going to thicken it as it gets down to the base. What I'm doing is I'm doing these little squiggly lines as I'm coming up then I'm going to thin it out, come back down and thicken that up again. Now for the leaves, what you do is you want to draw a line coming out, cut it like that, bring it back, line come out, cut it, bring it back. See you're doing the same thing over and over. Same thing on that side too. The reason why I'm not really too concerned with keeping it too straight because it's leaves and plus it's going to get filled in, bring that out and fill that in. Now, last bit of leaf and now the fun part, the fill in. So you take your thicker marker and you just go at it, neatly though, stay within your lines and if you make a mistake, no problem, just erase it and continue. As you can see I'm filling these in because the fill ins are fun because you're adding that depth and dimension to it and you see your piece coming to life. Know what I mean? So you can see that. You can see it all coming together now. It looks like a leaf. I'm ready to go camping or something, go somewhere where I can see some of these. Alright so now that I've done my fill ins, without any further ado, this is how you draw a Monstera leaf.
