Michigan Star Clipper

Michigan Star Clipper is a dinner train service with occasional murder mystery events. The "Holiday Madness" series is Michigan's oldest murder mystery train service. The interactive shows are available in December before the holidays. The train, which is boarded in Detroit, runs through Michigan's Oakland County. In addition to murder mystery events, Michigan Star Clipper offers regular dinner train rides and occasional "haunted" train dinners. For residents of central Michigan, the murder mystery train service boarded in Charlotte is an adventure that lasts more than two hours. This service only is available on select weekends. The train, which is elegantly decorated, moves through town during a five-course meal. The dinner menu offers patrons a choice of such dishes as prime rib, grilled Mahi fish and Cornish hen. Residents of Ohio and southeastern Michigan are near the station for Blissfield's murder mystery train adventure. This ride lasts nearly three hours and runs every Saturday. A team of actors and actresses lead the murder mystery event during this 12-mile trip. The passing countryside lends its beautiful scenery to the experience. The dinner menu offers diners a choice between prime rib, stuffed chicken and pan-seared halibut. Patrons can take advantage of the train's cash bar. The Murder Mystery Dinner Train-Blissfield fee also is about $70, as of February 2010. Because of adult humor, the Blissfield murder mystery train is not recommended for children. The Blissfield train also is non-smoking.
