Shoppers will find about 100 microwave ovens in the product lineup of GE Appliances, including wall ovens and models with convection technology. One microwave GE has discontinued is the LVM1750. If you're thinking of buying one in the secondhand market, examining its specs can help you decide whether it's the right fit for your kitchen.
Capacity, Colors and Dimensions
The GE LVM1750 offers 1.7 cubic feet of cooking capacity. GE manufactured it in white, stainless steel, gray and black finishes. It measures 29 7/8 inches wide, 16 13/32 inches high and 15 1/4 inches deep.
Cooking Power and Options
You'll find 1,000 watts of cooking power in the GE LVM1750, which offers traditional microwave technology. The microwave provides 10 power levels and includes two wire racks and two rack positions. It includes express settings for popcorn, potatoes, beverages and reheating.
Sensors allow the GE LVM1750 to calculate the best time and power level for cooking or defrosting foods. You can turn the 13 1/2-inch turntable on and off in this model, and its cooktop light features high and low settings. This model also comes with delayed start and child lock options.
Venting and Weight
While designed to be externally vented, you can configure the GE LVM1750 for use in a non-vented setup. Its two-speed exhaust fan can remove smoke and fumes at a speed of up to 300 cubic feet per minute. This appliance is constructed for over-the-range installation and weighs 54 lbs.
