Juno Preloader is a utility that automatically loads Juno's Internet Service Provider drivers and startup modules each time you launch the Internet service. The utility speeds up the service's startup process, but you can remove Juno Preloader if you no longer want the utility or if the utility is not working properly. Juno Preloader installs along with Juno's Internet service and is not part of the Windows operating system.
Juno Preloader is compatible with Windows 8 and 7, as well as Vista and Windows XP. As of March 2013, if you're running Windows 8, Juno Preloader for Windows 7 is the version currently running on your computer until Juno releases an upgrade specifically for Windows 8. The utility is not available within the Juno Internet Service package for Mac systems.
Juno Preloader is not a virus, nor is it malware. The program does not send personal information on your computer to Juno or any other website. The utility is an executable program that works with the Juno Internet service only; it does not interfere with standalone chat services, other utilities or programs on your computer. Like other utilities on your Windows computer, the program includes an uninstaller.
To uninstall Juno Preloader, press “Windows-Z” while on the Windows 8 Start screen, and then click the “All apps” icon. Scroll to the right until you reach the Windows System heading, and then click “Control Panel.” Click "Uninstall a Program," scroll down and click "Juno Preloader." Click "Uninstall" and follow the onscreen prompts to complete the uninstallation process.
If you download the latest version of the Juno Internet service application from the Juno website, the application will reinstall Juno Preloader, so you will have to remove the utility again if you no longer want it on your computer. You cannot select which components of the application you do not want to install. Each time a new version of the Juno Internet application is released, a new version of Juno Preloader is also released.
