Ponchos are back in style after a 20-year break. Dress your Teddy in the latest fashion!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

    The Poncho

  1. Step 1

    Fold your fabric in half.

  2. Step 2

Lie Teddy down with his head extending over the fold so that the fold goes right under his neck.

  3. Step 3

Draw a square on the fabric with chalk - the poncho should come about three-quarters of the way down his body (length) and to his paw tips (width).

  4. Step 4

Make a little mark at each side of his neck.

  5. Step 5

Lay Teddy to one side for safety.

  6. Step 6

Cut down the sides and across the bottom of the poncho.

  7. Step 7

Cut carefully between the little marks on the fold to make a head hole.

  8. Step 8

Try the poncho on him. Don't be surprised if you have to make the hole a bit bigger; many Teddies have large heads!

  9. Step 9

Narrow hem all edges, or finish with fabric glue.

  10. Narrow Hemming

  11. Step 1

Turn over 1/4 inch and press (you'll need to make tiny slits along the fold at the sides of the head hole to hem this).

  12. Step 2

    Machine stitch.
