You can easily remove rust from steel objects - such as car bumpers - with this simple home remedy.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Aluminum Foil
  • Aluminum Foil
  1. Step 1

    Get a square sheet of aluminum foil.

  2. Step 2

    Crumple the foil into a ball with the shiny side out.

  3. Step 3

    Rub the rusted area vigorously until the rust comes off.

  4. Step 4

    Repeat steps if necessary.

this was far better than the professional rust removals. Easy task and readily available household item like aluminum foil. The answer was right at hand

on 8/23/2006 If you have a ring of rust on your tub from your shaving can etc. use toothpaste and and old toothbrush to scrub it off.

on 11/22/2005 You can remove rust from stainless steel by dipping a crumpled piece of aluminum foil in Coca Cola and scrubbing the stain.
