How to Use a Different Remote to Control My Moxi
Different cable companies provide Moxi set-top boxes to subscribers. These set-top, or cable boxes come complete with their own remote control. If you've lost your Moxi remotes or want to reduce the number of remotes used to control different devices in your entertainment center, purchase a universal remote to control the Moxi box. The universal remote must be programmed before it can control the Moxi box.

Turn on the Moxi cable box.

Press and hold down the "Code Search" button on the universal remote control until the LED lights up.

Press the button that corresponds to a cable box, such as "Cable" or "DBS," on the universal remote control. The LED will remain lit.

Point the remote toward the Moxi box.

Press and release the "Power" button over and over again until the Moxi box turns off. Each time you press the "Power" button, the remote is trying a different code that will allow it to control the Moxi box.
