A vaporizer is used to vaporize medicinal herbs such as lavender. A whip is a clear hose that connects to the vaporizer on one end and a mouthpiece on the other end. Often, these types of systems are used with people who suffer from allergies or who must take vaporized medications. With a quick trip to a medical supply store or pharmacy, you can obtain the necessary supplies to make your own replacement whip.
Things You'll Need
- Surgical tubing
Remove the original whip from the vaporizer by pulling the hose off the inlet nipple.
Pull the mouthpiece free from the whip. You simply have to pull the tubing off the inlet nipple.
Place the old whip next to the new tubing and then cut the new tubing to match the length of the old tubing. Do not change the length of the tubing. The pump might not have the ability to adequately pump through longer tubing. Use tubing approved for surgical or food preparation. Select the same tubing size as originally used on your vaporizer.
Slide the inlet nipple of the mouthpiece into one end of the tubing and then slide the tubing over the inlet nipple on the vaporizer.
