Unlike most freestanding ranges, the control panel housing on Jenn-Air ranges is located on the front of the appliance, below the range. The control panel housing contains the electronic oven control, as well as the burner infinite switches, which regulate the temperature of each burner. If either an infinite switch or the electronic oven control malfunctions, you must remove the control panel to access the component. Once the component is accessed, you can remove it in order to install a new component.
Things You'll Need
Turn off the breaker in your service panel that supplies electricity to the range.
Open the oven door. Remove the four screws from the bottom of the control panel.
Look on the side of the control panel housing to determine if the control panel has additional screws on the left and right sides of the control panel housing. If the screws are present, remove them.
Lift the control panel up, off the support brackets to access the interior components.
