How to Set a Private My Post in Blogger

Blogger is a web-based publishing tool hosted by Google that allows blog writers to publish their posts instantaneously without having to learn web design. Blogger users need not waste time learning code or script to make their web page; it is all handled for them. Among its many features, Blogger allows users to set specific blog posts to private, keeping unwanted readers out.

Things You'll Need

  • Blogger account
  • Log in to your Blogger account.

  • Select the "Settings" tab, then the "Permissions" tab.

  • Under the "Blog Readers" section, and "Who can view this blog?," choose "Only readers I choose."

  • To make your blog completely private, leave the section where you add specific readers blank. You may also choose to add only one or two specific readers by entering their e-mail addresses.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be aware that if you publish your Blogger blog on your own FTP server that Blogger will not be able to restrict who can access your blog post.
