How to Make Slime Goo
Slime goo was first featured on a kids' television game show. Contestants would be drenched in slime goo as part of the show. Although slime goo is available for purchase, a basic recipe exists for making slime at home. Slime is actually a polymer that is somewhat unique as it possesses the properties of both a solid and liquid. Making slime goo is a suitable project for kids.
Things You'll Need
- White craft glue
- 2 paper cups
- Green food coloring
- Borax powder
- Spoon
- Measuring cup
- Plastic bag

Fill a paper cup with 8 ounces of water. Add 1 tablespoon of borax powder to the water in the cup. Stir the borax powder and water with a spoon to thoroughly incorporate.

Pour 1 inch of white craft glue into another paper cup. Measure 2 tablespoons of water and add to the glue in the cup. Stir the water and glue with a spoon to incorporate.

Add three to four drops of food color to the glue and water mixture. Use traditional slime green or get creative and use blue, red, yellow or a combination of colors. Mix the food color into the glue and water mixture thoroughly with a spoon.

Measure 1 tablespoon of the water and borax solution and add to the cup with the glue, water and food color mixture. Stir the ingredients with a spoon to thoroughly combine.

Allow the mixture to sit for at least 30 seconds. Remove the slime from the excess liquid in the cup.

Tips & Warnings
Store the slime in a plastic storage bag. Add a few drops of the left over slime goo liquid to help keep the slime moist in the bag.
