How to Fix Eyebrows in GIMP

If you have prominent eyebrows you may dread having your picture taken. You may even take your photos to professionals to have this problem area retouched. However, if you have a copy of the freeware application GIMP, you can use its tools to quickly retouch your appearance yourself.

  • Upload the photo you want to trim the eyebrows in to your computer.

  • Open GIMP. Select "File" from the menu and choose "Open." In the dialog that appears, locate the photo you loaded and open it.

  • Go to the toolbar and click on the "Clone" tool. Hold down the "CTRL" key on the keyboard and click on the skin near the section of eyebrow you want to fix. This will make the spot a reference point for painting.

  • Hold down the left mouse button as you drag the mouse over the eyebrow section you want to paint over. As you move to other sections, you may have to repeat step 3 to get a new reference point.
