Passion fruit is high in vitamins A and C.

Passion fruit comes in dark purple or yellow varieties. When you select passion fruit, examine it for wrinkles. The wrinkled skin indicates ripeness. Ripe passion fruit will also have a uniform color without any green areas. If the passion fruit has not ripened completely, you can allow the ripening process to finish at home. Once the passion fruit ripens, it needs stored properly to prolong the shelf life.
