How to Remove a Spray Nozzle From a Kitchen Sink

Save

The spray nozzle, also known as a vegetable sprayer, is a water sprayer connected to a flexible hose located next to the regular faucet of the kitchen sink. Spray nozzles can become clogged or otherwise damaged, especially if you have mineral-rich water running to your kitchen sink. Removing the spray nozzle will allow you to replace it with one that works properly, or one that matches your kitchen decor.

Things You'll Need

  • Pliers
  • Pull the nozzle up and out of the ring that holds the nozzle when not in use. This will expose the flexible hose that connects the nozzle to the water supply.

  • Hold the top of the nozzle in one hand. Hold the coupling at the bottom of the nozzle tightly with a pair of pliers.

  • Turn the nozzle to the left until it comes loose. Continue turning the nozzle until it is free from the coupling and the flexible hose. Remove the rubber washer on the bottom of the spray nozzle.
